.: Our Video Page
I just love to work pups. It's my favorite part of this work. Watching them learn to use their nose, to learn how odor moves in wind currents (even buildings have wind currents) and praising them when they succeed is very rewarding.
I know these dogs have many fans, and I want to share the ups and downs of training with those who are interested. A detection dog is a unique animal, and only a few dogs make it. I give my little guys the best chance possible with early imprinting.
Thank you to Katherine for taking most of the vids!
LawDogsUSA Litter #1
This is (now) Boldog K9 Dilly, being worked by Trooper/Trainer Steve Gardner of the WSP.
Dilly is four (4) months old in this video and is working on narcotic odors.
K9 Dilly Video One
K9 Dilly Video Two
This is Boldog FreakShow, K9 Dilly's sister. She showed great promise as a pup, but I needed to keep her for my program, so she is here at Boldog Kennel and earning working titles. Here she is at four (4) months of age being worked by Trooper/Trainer Steve Gardner of the WSP on narcotics odor.
FreakShow Video One
Here is FreakShow at almost 2 years of age, practicing on a small schutzhund style track. She is an excellent tracker and passes this nose ability on to her pups.
FreakShow Video Two
I will be posting video of FreakShow's and Dilly's brother, Grim, who is my schutzhund competition dog.
LawDogsUSA Litter #2
Litter #2 was a "foundation" litter, meaning that pups from this litter would be retained for breeding purposes. The sire was my Boldog Dirk, SchH III, FR Brevet bred to Tatonka's Kamate, CGC. The resulting two pups have been placed with friends.
Boldog Sligo, CGC, is being trained for weight pull and agility by owner Heather Leu. He has what it takes to be a fantastic detection dog, and will be bred in the future if he passes all health clearances. Here he is showing the tail throbbing hussle and persistance I want to see in a young pup working on finding a ball in hard cover. Fantastic dog!

LawDogsUSA Litter #3
Sire was Boldog Dirk, SchH III, FR Brevet x Boldog FreakShow, CGC. This is an exciting litter with lots of promise. I started imprinting them on searching for odor at five (5) weeks of age.
This is Boldog SuperFreak at eight (8) weeks of age, showing the type of "toy drive" necessary for a good detection dog.
SuperFreak Video One
Here she is at ten (10) weeks trying to decide to find the source of odor or play with the cat toy! I love puppies!!!
