.: The Dogs Today

People often ask me if detection dogs are treated "like pets" or if they lead some type of "Spartan" life. Well, I hope the following pictures will reassure everyone that these dogs are beloved companions. In the case of the pit bulls, I might add that some of the officer's wives were hesitant to allow a "pit bull" in the house. Well, you can see how that went! : )

Here is K9 X-Dog (now K9 Scout) off duty at home. Tough life!

 

One of the nice things about being a detection dog is being able to go in anywhere, even in Vegas! K9 Neville makes friends everywhere he goes!

K9 Dilly and his sister "FreakShow", CGC, B with me. Dilly comes to visit often when his handler vacations. Dilly has had several great finds lately!
